Rick is a lifelong Cleveland native who's love for drawing began somewhere around 1990, when he was 5 years old. What began as simple shapes and doodles on a chalkboard would soon blossom into countless cartoon characters, sports logos, and a whole lot of Ninja Turtles.
Those early days of relentless logo drawing (primarily Chief Wahoo), freehand lettering, and obsessing over sports caricatures, were unknowingly preparing Rick for his college studies. At BGSU in Ohio, he focused on Drawing and earned his degree in Graphic Design.
Rick spent the years since graduating working on a variety of different design projects but had always yearned to have a creative outlet for his original artwork. This led to the creation of Enābl Threads, a place where he can share his art and love for his city/world with others while helping out a good cause along the way.
Rick owes his drive to the feedback and encouragement he receives from his support system which includes family, business partners, friends, neighbors, and even a couple of cats.
"I have respect and admiration for all artists, no matter what medium they use. I feel that creativity is one of the most powerful forces in the universe and too often it is ignored or taken for granted."
